The Bookkeeping Academy provides training on just the topics you need, whether for CPD points or just because you want to focus on one topic at a time.
You may also only be applying for a junior bookkeeper or accounts receivable or payable role and don’t need the setup or advanced topics and for these circumstances we have our Bookkeeper Course online training course catalogue.
See the specials links below for individual short training courses.
Duration: 5 hours each
This course is ideal for students who want to understand more about the basic bookkeeping information involved in a business including the terms, what they mean and how to navigate to those areas in the software. Learn some how different parts of an accounting system work together to produce the reports that businesses need and see where the information comes from.
This course is also a great resource is you own or are working in a business which plans to transition from another software program to Xero.
Duration: 12 hours each
The Xero Beginners Courses focus on quotes, invoice, purchases, payments and receipts and data capture. Most of these tasks can be performed by junior accounts staff or contractors but these steps are important to enforce good credit management procedures.
At the end of each month the reconciliation process makes sure the data entered by your staff or contract bookkeeper match the bank statement for the bank reconciliation.
Duration: 3 hours each
Xero Advanced Training & Payroll Administration Courses build onto the basic skills and focus on trickier transactions like the ones which require journal adjustments at bank reconciliation stage or don’t include the standard 10% GST. These courses also take you through Beginners AND Advanced Payroll Courses (2 workbooks) so you are familiar with most of the requirements for managing payroll for a small business.
Another important aspect of the Xero Advanced Certificate courses are to extract the data in a number of different reports and use that data to look at the business at a higher level (usually for higher management or owners of the business). It can also be used to help create budgets and forecasts and measure the return on certain investments a business has made, from marketing programs to investing in assets like a factory.
